The joys of visiting Verona are nights at the Opera and days in the Piazza. Verona is Italy’s most romantic city but there’s a lot more to it than Romeo and Juliet. Verona is an exquisite city year-round for a weekend break, but with the 100th anniversary this summer of its open-air opera, held in the ancient arena, now is an especially good time to visit. With all the will in the world I could not visit every beautiful place in Italy. I have 'seen' Verona from the train window and regretfully that's the extent of it for now.
I'm sure it's lovely but it's not high on my bucket list. I used to think I'd travel to many places but I'm getting older, money doesn't stretch as far as I'd like, Covid set us back and there are always commitments close to home...I can't see everything so I'll just make the best of what I can :)
I have visited beautiful Milan. I have also visited Florence, Rome, Montegrotto Terme and by far the prettiest place Venice but I have no wish to visit Verona.

You pay for me to go and I'll post my opinions when I get back, otherwise, we live in the best country in the world. There's plenty to do and see, no reason to go overseas, risking Covid plus who knows what else.
