The Torres Strait Islands are a group of at least 274 small islands in the Torres Strait, a waterway separating far northern continental Australia’s Cape York Peninsula and the island of New Guinea. The Torres Strait Islands also have a population of 4,514 in the 2016 Australian census with 91.8% of these identifying as Indigenous Torres Strait Island peoples. What are your thoughts LiveTribers?     Have the Governments of New Guinea and Australia worked cooperatively to address health issues such as covid19,TB,STIs,Drug abuse and teen suicide that are the cause of much shame and disharmony on these islands,?
