Is Climate Change The Cause Of The Crazy Weather Experienced In Australia Over The Past Few Months Or Is to Be Expected And Cyclical?

Australia’s flood nightmare has returned to parts of Queensland and NSW which were already ravaged by extreme weather. Life-threatening flash flooding and intense rainfall could hit some of Australia’s most disaster-ravaged areas, with another dangerous weather system looming. The Bureau of Meteorology issued (on 28/3/22) severe weather warnings for heavy rainfall for the Northern Rivers, Northern Tablelands, parts of the Mid North Coast as well as South East Queensland. What are your thoughts LiveTribers? Is Climate Change The Cause Of The Crazy Weather Experienced In Australia Over The Past Few Months Or Is to Be Expected And Cyclical?

The title for this thread is inaccurate and misleading. Climate change is a natural phenomenon and the weather currently being experienced is to be expected and is cyclical in nature. The so-called 'experts' convinced states a few years ago to waste countless millions of dollars on desal plants because we were going to experience years of droughts and would run out of water. The Tree Huggers still blame everything on climate change.

No!!! Is to be expected and cyclical. Been happening before records began. Global warming theory is flawed and causing smart people to do foolish things!!!!

It is a heavy rain season but I think it is cyclical. Let's face it, people are now living on the rivers and creeks and in the bush more and more so they are affected by these weather events. Queensland has always had cyclones, monsoons, fires, droughts. Maybe we are experiencing more than usual but perhaps going back over records for just 100 years does not truly show the climatic changes of our region. Due to conflicting expert information one is not convinced either way. Too many companies are making money out of the so called "climate change" or as it was not previously global warming. Too many governments are also using it to further their needs. This has happened many many times during the earths history. This is why the lamp table/coffee table was invented so the rich women in the 18th century did not have to move from their lounges during the heat of the day. We have had ice ages, receding of ice etc. over and over. Do I think we need to help the earth, yes. We do need to stop cutting down forests so a few people can become very rich. We do need to replant the forests. Everyone can plant a tree in their garden but also flowers so the insects can feast. We need to stop nuclear proliferation as too many have had accidents or melt downs causing so much damage so this is not a wise choice by any stretch of the imagination. Unfortunately at this time in our history we have mad men in charge of nations and who knows where this will end. If it goes nuclear I think the world will be destroyed beyond recognition.
