Electricity Prices Have Dropped, But How Can You Save Even More On Your Power
Bills?
Although the price of electricity is the cheapest it has been in almost a
decade, the latest research shows the vast majority of consumers are not getting
the best deal on electricity. As there are more renewable projects coming
online, this is helping to push prices down for consumers. What do you think

Maybe the cost of electricity has dropped slightly but all the other charges
have gone up. Do they think we are silly. Once they get money from consumers
they don't want to give any of it back.
I am on a pension so cannot afford all the off grid stuff advertised. One has
to have money these days to save money it seems and the majority of people are
not in this bracket.
I have yet to see a drop in electricity prices. Despite regularly monitoring our
usage, our bill seems to be increasing for each quarter. Greedy suppliers have
the gaul to charge you roughly a dollar a day just to be connected to the grid &
that is before they charge you for any use of electricity at their exorbitant
prices. Most areas do not have access to other suppliers so they're stuck with
whoever is available in the area. Constant power surges & outages for hours at a
time coupled with damage to personal electrical equipment that they don't care
about leaves me unsympathetic to the so called rise in infrastructure costs they
so eagerly pass onto consumers. We already have partial solar in use with a
battery, if we could go completely solar with full battery we would & gladly
give greedy suppliers the flick. Unfortunately power is essential, the average
household can't afford to go off grid & they know this. They charge what they
like, to me that's extortion.
There is a new solo offer out from the Government.......No upfront costs at
all......you pay it back through the grid.....you can even be in credit and they
owe you.....The only way I can manage mine...peeps have gone from $400 to $80 or
sometimes zero owing..for electricity bill.....It's a great idea and one I will
be taking advantage of....I did a similar thing with my heat pump hot water
service ...worth $3.500....I paid $80 to have it installed by plumber in
Adelaide to come to the Riverland ...My only cost.$80.........Amazing....They
work like a fridge and are cheaper to run than electric hot water
services....I'm a happy customer.....
