Do You Prefer Online Shopping Or In Store Shopping?

In the past decade, online shopping has become a central part of an average internet user’s life because of products’ accessibility. With online shopping, you can find various goods and services at different retail stores and vendors with a click of a button. Even though online shopping is growing at an astounding rate, many shoppers still prefer going to a physical store. What are your thoughts LiveTribers? I prefer to shop in store. I would rather choose my own groceries at a supermarket, especially fruit and veg. As far as clothing goes I'd want to try it on before deciding if I want it. And with furniture I'd want to test it out and see what it feels like. The only online shopping I do is if it's something I've bought before and I know that it's something I like.

For clothing I prefer in-store shopping. For everything else I am quite indifferent

I prefer shopping in a store. I have ordered clothing and am still waiting for one item. I try to avoid it if I can. Physical store shopping also can be a source of exercise like walking. I have walked around for hours on my own or with friends or family. It is relaxing when you get out of the house.

Depends on the intended purchase. I much prefer to shop in store for clothing because sizes can differ enormously, depending on the maker. I have only ever shopped online for groceries. I find it more time consuming than in-store shopping but it is also cheaper because I'm not walking through the aisles and picking up extra items that are not on my list.

For me , I will always prefer offline purchase when I’m buying really expensive items mostly if they are electronic items..!! If it’s any electronic gadget like laptop, smartphone and even my guitars, I always prefer to buy offline in person from authorized premium stores. Same even goes with my clothing and wristwatch..!!

The more that is ordered on line the more stores will close and more people will be out of work including the ones ordering on line in many cases. Same as using self checkout and soon as in USA will be the app you show as you walk into a grocery store that ads up all your groceries and charges your account when you leave. I am still not sure how it does not add items a person next to you picks up but I am sure it is worked out somehow. How many people have to lose their jobs to this technology.

All depends on the item and the reputation of the vendor. Some things are best scoped in the real world. In any case it's always buyer beware! Cryptocurrency is a perfect example.

Shopping online for items you've used before, appliances, personal care etc is easy. I don't mind ordering groceries online either but I'll only order clothing online if I know the brand & fit. Will order the same brand & cut of jeans, tops etc. For clothing brands I don't know I'll measure and order a size with fingers crossed!

I much prefer instore shopping, especially for clothes, shoes and groceries. I like to try on clothes to make sure they suit/fit me. Can't do that online. Same for shoes, I have bought shoes online and followed their instructions for getting my size right and still ended up with wrong size. Fresh food need to be shopped for and brought home immediately.

I like them both. I get prices online then go into B&M stores to touch and experience the goods. If the B&M store can price match I'll buy there otherwise I'll buy online.
