Are You Doing Everything You Can To Get The Best Night’s Sleep?


Getting a good night’s sleep has a positive impact on every part of our wellbeing. While we’re snoozing, our body works to support healthy brain function and physical health, and might even give our brain a chance to flush out toxins associated with neurodegeneration. On the other hand, ongoing poor sleep can lead to a myriad of health issues and affect our ability to learn and think clearly.     I have anxiety so getting a good night's sleep is difficult. And now I am going through perimenopause, it is even worse!

    I love my sleep.....without it I am miserable...irritable and just plain outright awful to be around....My brain doesn't work without it........so spoil yourself with nice silk or satin pjs and a lovely comfy bed...you will want to get in it then.....ENJOY YOUR ZZZss

    I'm in my 70s now but since I was a teenager I have had bad sleeping habits, when I was younger I would stay up till the early morning hours listening to music even if I had to get up early for work, so being sleep deprived was always a part of my life, in my 30s that changed more to watching late-night movies, and this has continued for most of my life until now. Healthwise I still think that I am better than average for my age, but maybe the quality of my life has been affected by this habit, like neglecting some other parts of my life because of feeling tired, but I have always enjoyed music and movies so that is the price that I pay for my hobbies and interests which give me a lot of pleasure. I possibly may change these habits if I decide that I want to indulge in other interests before I get much older, or if I feel that I need to improve my lifestyle by sleeping earlier so that I can find more time for other pursuits.

    I have low degenerative issues & how I wish I could have a good night's sleep. Cortisone injection proved a failure & so does all pain medication so far prescribed. I just like to be able to sleep without my back waking me up & not depriving me of much needed sleep.
